I am at heart, a history buff, and my interest in history includes reading history, visiting battlefield sites, watching movies about historical subjects, and a strong focus on Frederick the Great of Prussia and the Seven Years War.
Many raccoons gave their lives at the Alamo.I think that John Wayne must have been the last actor to get to the prop room so he ended up with the silliest looking cap. Richard Widmark is wearing that Stetson very well.
Yep, remember going to see the Disney version at the cinema as a lad, also have a picture of me wearing the coonskin hat (probably rabbit) until it went mouldy and got binned.
Nothing wrong with wearing a silly hat, always shows the metal of a person.
ReplyDeleteWillz.
Raccoon hat? Or is this an early outbreak (pre-1980s) of the Mullet haircut?
ReplyDeleteSilly hats are the mark of the man....ask Monty in WW2 about some of his early choices!!
ReplyDeleteA very appropriate title for this post!
ReplyDeleteFess Parker will always be Crockett to me.
