I am having a group of six players coming to my house this coming saturday to run a play test of the AWI games that I will be running at the Fall In Convention (November 5-7, 2026 in Lancaster, PA). I have done several play tests against one opponent so I am eager to see how the game goes with six players.
I have added a link to You Tube so that you can view the movie trailer that I made to promote this game at the convention.
The game ( Kennett Square Movie Trailer ) is called the Action at Kennett Square and features the rear guard fighting of Continental Army light troops under the command of Colonel William Maxwell. Maxwell's mission is to force the British army to halt its march and deploy into battle line to fight the Americans. And then retire and do it again, and again, and again...
The point of this action is to buy time for General Washington's army to cross the Brandywine Creek and take up a strong defensive position on the heights above the creek. All of this takes place prior to the Battle of Brandywine Creek which is a part of the Philadelphia Campaign of 1777.
