Two gamers trying to solve the murder mystery. King & Country 60mm figures. |
Over the weekend I made playing cards for my Clue style game that I am running at Historicon this year. There are six suspects and six weapons and nine buildings (instead of rooms in a mansion) in the game and I will be using 60mm (1/30 scale) King & Country figures and my own scratch=built Roman buildings.

Clue board game converted to a game played with 60mm figures and 1/30 scale buildings. |
So I took photographs of the figures representing the six players/suspects in the game and affixed them to cards:

King & Country miniatures actually has a vignette set of the murder of Caesar that is a bit graphic, so I did not post the picture at the top of this page. Sometimes thumbnail photos are found on other web sites that follow updates on various blogs (such as the Emperor versus Elector blog) and the first photo on a blog page is used in the thumbnail picture. You can be the judge of this:
I did not purchase this set of figures for my collection.
We have play-tested this game and each time it has generated a fun game. The game only lasts up to one hour, oftentimes less than that. I thought that this would be a fun after-dinner game for people to play. It's fast and exciting and quite different from the long games played throughout the day at the convention.
Hopefully I can find six people who agree with that and sign up for the game. Click on the link below and it will take you to the event sign up page on the Historicon web site. I am hosting two large set-piece battles, one smaller skirmish level game, and the Clue-style Who Dunnit game.
Event sign up for my four games
The game will be at 7PM on the Friday of Historicon (event # 900).
