Fife & Drum AWI Artillery Greens Pix

Here are the various components for the first releases of AWI artillery equipment in the Fife & Drum range. On the top row we have (left to right) a French Valliere 4-pdr,  American cast 6-pdr,  British 6-pdr, and 3-pdr galloper gun. In the second row you can see the limber horse team with civilian driver, the amusette 1-pdr with mantel, British artillery limber, and galloper gun limber.

We are getting very, very close to having both the artillery crews and the first releases of AWI artillery equipment added to the Fife & Drum range. I daresay that you might be able to celebrate July 4th by painting a couple of these little beauties. Everything has been sent to the caster  and I don't know about you, but I am getting very excited about all of this and can't wait to hold the actual cannons in my hands. I really like the way that these have turned out.

This picture shows how the galloper gun pieces are put together.

Royal Artillery Amusette, used to protect the field guns when they were deployed (at least in theory).

  1. Outstanding work Jim! I feel that many people might be buying these little jewels to use with figures other than Fife & Drum. The French gun is extremely nice, and the Amusette is just fun.

  2. Agreed! That Valliere 6pdr looks especially nice. Just might have to replace some of my MiniFig guns with that one.

    Best Regards,

  3. Der Alte,

    Another success!

The guns are superb and will be very useful to a lot of people I am sure. I'm eager to order a few. Is it possible to plunk some money down in the short term and make a pre-order? I can wait of course (and will have to anyway), the thing is that I was looking around for galloper guns and amusettes just yesterday, and here you come to the rescue!

Really nice work, congratulations to you and Mr. Ansell.

  4. @ Jim: I don't really want to start doing pre-orders because I don't want to collect people's money and then hold on to it until the new products go into production. That involves more record keeping than I care to do.

My number one goal is to have happy and satisfied customer.

Rest assured though that I plan to stock up on the artillery equipment and artillery crew figures in a big way so that everyone can get what they order in a timely fashion.

  5. Hi Der Alte,

Oh well, I'll just have to restrain my impatience!

I think that your policy is very wise. Please take my message as in indication that your project will have some sales. Fife and Drum is making amazing progress, I think.

  6. Thank you Jiminho. I've got some amazing things planned for this range, so you "ain't seen nothing yet".
